Unfortunately, verion 3.9 did not correct the problem. Same issue persists even though I have employed the dropdown option to use the case found in the post content. STILL all links created are displayed in lower case text.
Very frustrating.
I knew I couldn’t be the only one . . .
No to both.
Yes, I turned off the creating auto links function & that resolved the issue.
What a bummer. I liked giving my readers the option to just click on the link to learn more about an author or their book(s).
Will this problem be resolved with a future update? I hope so.
Thanks.
Disabling the Classic Editor plugin makes no difference
I had to Google “figcaption.” Had never heard of it, have never used it. I just use [caption][/caption].

It happens throughout the posts the first time the term that is a tag is used, as well as if the term that is a tag is not within a hyperlink.
So, for example, in the post I linked above, the author’s name, Susan Meissner, is a tag. Her name is not properly capitalized in the caption, but it is fine in the body of the review because that is where I inserted the link to her website.
Similarly, the title of the book, Only the Beautiful, is a tag. The first time it appears in the body of the review, it is not properly capitalized, but the plugin left it as I typed it each of the subsequent times it appears.
This doesn’t work for me. I need a way to fix it or I will have to disable the plugin.
Thanks.

In reply to: [Auto-Close Comments, Pingbacks and Trackbacks] Reopening CommentsNo idea how to post screenshots here. Perhaps you can provide direction. This dialogue box only allows for text.

In reply to: [Auto-Close Comments, Pingbacks and Trackbacks] Reopening CommentsThat does not work. I tried it.
Any other ideas?

In reply to: [Auto-Close Comments, Pingbacks and Trackbacks] Reopening CommentsAs I explained in my question, I did that. I checked the “allow comments” box on that single post. It did NOT work. The post still displays “comments are closed.”
PLEASE ADVISE HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.
Thanks.

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Worked the second timeTo Dave: I had a proper back-up in place, so your assumption was totally off the mark.
I have been to hell and back over many months with my main site. The initial upgrade did, in fact, crash my posts database. But as of right now, the database appears to be stable (fingers crossed).
Just this morning, after backing up for about the zillionth time, I again attempted to migrate to TablePress. It seems to have worked this time, unlike the original time I tried it.
I would be happy to now rate the plugin 5 stars if I could figure out how WordPress allows that.

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Worked the second timeBlue Host is still working on the problem. I thought my site was fixed as of 6:00 a.m. Sat., 5/23. As of tonight, still now working.
Will provide an update when I know for sure. The Tech Support Rep I spoke with initially thought this plugin caused the problem. I’ve spent hours and hours on the phone with Blue Host since. Just not sure at this point what the deal is. ??

In reply to: [Plugin: WP-Table] Need a fix for 2.5 compatabilityI can’t thank you enough, mosey!!
Your fix (above) worked PERFECTLY and restored all the tables that I lost when I upgraded to WordPress 2.5, not realizing that this plugin would be incompatible. I am now using it — with your simple modification — and it is working with WordPress 2.6!!!
Hooray!!
You can see it back in action, for example, here:

In reply to: Version 2.3.2 is availableI upgraded one site, but I won’t be upgrading the rest until somebody tells me why, after upgrading, I can’t delete categories! I go to “Manage,” “Categories” and hit delete. When I refresh the page, the categories I previously deleted are back again!

In reply to: Articles plugin – failure to display categories/articlesI would love it if someone would explain the problem to me in ENGLISH. I have no idea what any of those explanations mean.

In reply to: Articles plugin – failure to display categories/articlesI have exactly the same problem. The plugin was working beautifully before I upgraded to 2.3.
I have tags and categories.
When I publish the page where I want the articles to be listed, some show up and some don’t. The ones that are there are listed under the wrong heading.
Alex said the plugin was ready for 2.3. It obviously isn’t. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it after adding tags to every post . . . no difference.
I’m baffled and any assistance would be appreciated because I really like this plugin and the list it generates.
Thanks.
