Thanks for the reply! At the moment, I am using theme version 2.8.3 and the plugin version 1.7.2 as well.

From what has been said, the home page template is already assigned to the home page. When I go onto the widgets area of the customiser, this is the message i get:

“Your theme has 3 other widget areas, but this particular page doesn’t display them.”

I’m not sure why that is happening. Please could you help me with that? The message shows up on all of my pages, not just the homepage. Could this be why I have no way of adding the slider or contact info sections to the home page?

Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate it. It sounds like your plugin offers the exact functionality that I am looking for, which is wonderful.
