Hi. Thanks for the reply!
Yes it is. It’s happening on that version. It has happened to a couple of other people as well now.
I’m thinking disabling the firewall would be best, at least in the short term. Is there anything you can maybe suggest?

Thanks for the input. I really appreciate it. You’re right, it is quite a simple bit of code to change.
Happy holidays!

In reply to: [Shk Corporate] Increasing the size of the logoHi Rishabh
Thanks so much for getting back to me. That information is just what I was looking for, so thank you. I’m thinking around 50% taller than it is should suffice, but it is good to know that it is easy for me to do.
One quick question I have then is, if I have edited the theme as shown in the screenshot, when a theme update is available, will that overwrite the edit I made, or keep it in tact?
Best wishes

Hi again
Thanks for reminding me! I was actually looking in the setting from the dashboard, rather than the shortcode generator on the page. All sorted now!

Hello again
I’ve noticed through the ‘inspect’ tool in Google Chrome that the horizontal shift is approx 16px wide and appears to be caused by the mobile menu, which is why it only happens at the top of any mobile web page.
For the link titles on the mobile menu, they are shifted right due to the padding applied to the left of them and I believe that this is the cause of this horizontal shift. I’m going to try and correct this with some Custom CSS, but perhaps it is something you may want to look at in the future.
With regards to the large vertical gap between the bottom of the slider and the info section of the home page, I believe this might be caused by the owl tabs, since when I switch off the info section, they are still floating there way below the bottom of the slider. I don’t know why that is though.

Hi again
I’ll be sure to do that. You’ve been very helpful. I do have another quick query though, although it’s not a bug at all.
Basically, is there any way to reverse the order the events are shown in? Right now, the most recent event is first and the most historic event is last. It would make more sense to me to reverse that, to have the events in chronological order, rather than reverse chronological order.
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Best wishes

Hi
I thought I’d provide an update. It seems the behaviour is even stranger than I first thought. My default browser is Google Chrome. Having played around with the browser a bit, I have noticed the following behaviours:
- When I view the homepage through the ‘Customise’ window in WordPress (v5.6 for me) the behaviour is exactly as your demo is (so as expected).
- When I view the homepage by typing the web address into the address bar at the top, or by clicking ‘visit site’ in the WordPress dashboard, this is when the strange behaviour occurs.
- If I start on a view of the homepage outside the customise window (i.e. where this behaviour occurs) and I continually resize the window for a bit (smaller, larger, smaller again etc.) after a while the error sometimes disappears, with the exception that the owl thumbs have no images in them.
- When I try loading the page inside a different browser, such as Safari or Firefox (I’ve tried both) the same behaviour occurs, so it doesn’t seem to be an issue with one particular browser.
- When I view the website on my mobile, there appears to be a positional shift downwards of the info section again.
- In addition on the mobile, when the slider images on the homepage, or the title banners on other pages, are in view, there appears to be a horizontal overflow, such that it is possible to scroll right slightly. This only happens when either the slider/banner is in view, or the hamburger menu is opened on mobile. If you scroll right when you are able to do so on the mobile and then scroll down, everything just seems to click into place.
I hope the points I have mentioned above aren’t too confusing or too long. I really have no idea why this strange behaviour is occurring. There doesn’t appear to be any logic to it at all. I really would appreciate your help in getting to the bottom of this, so that I may correct the issues. If not, I might have to change theme, to correct it.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi there.
Thanks so much for the advice. That appears to have done the trick! Everything is now sliding beneath the stick header, which is exactly what I wanted.

Thanks so much for your quick reply. I really appreciate it!
It did surprise me as well, since web designer profiles on Google, based somewhere on a street or at their house (so no shop front or place for clients to visit) are more or less ten a penny. It’s a shame because your plugin worked great before.
Thanks for explaining about how the place ID works. It makes more sense now that the type of location has changed, but the place ID hasn’t.
I’ll definitely be keen if you do use a different API in the future, but there’s no rush for now.
Thanks anyway!
There is now an error ‘Google has not found data for the current Place ID…’.
That’s clearly why it is showing. However, I’ve checked and the Place ID is still valid and still represents my business, so I don’t know why that error is appearing.
Thanks,
James
Just as an update, I’ve checked and my business does still have a Place ID, which hasn’t changed at all since I moved to a service area only business.
There don’t seem to be any warnings on your plugin settings page (within my dashboard) at all explaining why it won’t show. Have you got any ideas?
Thanks
James
That’s okay, thanks. I’m quite happy without the button functionality for now.Do you know when it might be added to the new editor?
Thanks
James
Hi Akhilesh
Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, this still doesn’t work. The Gutenberg block editor doesn’t seem to offer the ‘Customize Read More Button in slider’ functionality.
I have tried adding a button block after the text in the blog post, as well as a ‘read more’ tag, but neither appears in the slider. Please could you explain for me how to add this button within the new Gutenberg block editor, as opposed to the classic editor?
Thanks
James

In reply to: [Appointment] Slider and widget area no-showsThanks again for your reply. I’ve just checked and you’re right. It seems that I had created a second ‘home’ page and set that one to be the actual home page, so the template content for that page was missing. It’s there now that I have set the right home page. Thanks!

In reply to: [Appointment] Slider and widget area no-showsIt’s worth noting that the only widget areas available on my customiser are the sidebar and footer (which both work fine to be fair).
