Nearly a year later, and I have this exact issue still, going on with my hosting company (powweb), thus far their support always points the blame at some sort of plugin that is installed that is causing the SSlv3 handshake issue.
The truth is, the support team sucks at their jobs. and I have done most of their legwork in narrowing down their problem. I have multiple wordpress installs on one hosting account. two of the 6 installs work, while the rest do not. (weird)
Because of this thread, I have a close solution besides the BS the support team from powweb has offered “the problem is one of the plugins” *which they provide no example, or proof of*
