I was able to resolve this at last, since I am developing my theme, there was no wp_head() in my header.php file.

My site isn’t on any server yet since I am only using localhost so I can’t post a link

I was able to come up with a solution. I was using different port (localhost:8080 instead of localhost) in my apache than the default one which somehow didn’t workout with the wordpress installation. So I changed the skype port settings so I could comeback to default apache port.

I don’t see anything about wordpress there.
