Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: My Sidebar is not on the right but down…I’m having a comparable issue. Just installed, using default and my sidebar is way at the bottom on the right instead of staying top right. How do I fix that?
My blog is at https://www.jerrypettit.com/blog
Thanks in advance!

In reply to: The error message I got:If I just stumble along as is–those error messages at the top don’t seem to be “doing anything”–am I going to be okay?
I’m surprised that I’ve deleted everything 5 times, but my original blog message has survived. How does THAT happen?

In reply to: The error message I got:Actually, I just did a 5th clean reinstall and when I run install.php I still get the same “missing wp-config.php” message.
On the other hand, I CAN log in now–but at the top of my screen I’m getting:
Warning: array_keys(): The first argument should be an array in /homepages/36/d161148513/htdocs/blog/wp-admin/admin-functions.php on line 1313
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /homepages/36/d161148513/htdocs/blog/wp-admin/admin-functions.php on line 1313

In reply to: The error message I got:Did a 4th total delete and reinstall and continue to get this message:
There doesn’t seem to be a wp-config.php file. I need this before we can get started. Need more help? We got it. You can create a wp-config.php file through a web interface, but this doesn’t work for all server setups. The safest way is to manually create the file.
But there IS a wp-config.php file…

In reply to: The error message I got:This is what I get when I click “log in” now–a screen that says (in its entirety):
<?xml version=”1.0″ ?>
– <!– generator=”wordpress/2.0.2″
–>
– <opml version=”1.0″>
– <head>
<title>Links for Jerry’s Blog</title>
<dateCreated>Mon, 24 Apr 2006 00:02:10 GMT</dateCreated>
</head>
<body />
</opml>**I haven’t touched any file, but DID delete all of my cookies. I can see the file ‘wp-login.php’ on my server when I use my FTP program (FileZilla). Its size is 2353 now, rather than the 10,000 or so it was when I installed this morning…

In reply to: The error message I got:Ahem…
In connection with doing something else, I deleted all of my cookies.
Now I can’t log in. I just get some kind of programming script when I try to…

In reply to: The error message I got:Ok…apparently I’m up and running now. I do think it was my flaky connection that was to blame. I tried a full install again, and I seem to be okay.
Hope that’s it for now! Again, thank all of you so much!

In reply to: The error message I got:I’m using FileZilla.
Not getting the “headers” message anymore–just the following:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_users_drafts() in /homepages/36/d161148513/htdocs/blog/wp-admin/post.php on line 347
**
Do I need to do yet ANOTHER reinstall? I DO have a somewhat flakey wireless connection–but I am unaware of being disconnected during any of my ftp uploads.Jerry

In reply to: The error message I got:Grrrr…still problems. Now, in trying to set up, I’m getting THIS error message right after trying to change my Admin password:

Thanks, everyone, for your help. Apparently it was just a corrupted install.

In reply to: The error message I got:Hmmm…been an hour. I was getting spoiled by the quick responses.
I’m still unable to log on–I have those error messages. Do I need to replace the deleted default-filters.php file, or is there something else to do?

In reply to: The error message I got:As I look closer at those error messages, it seems like it’s looking for the deleted “filters” file. Was I supposed to replace it with something?
