In reply to: Page posts problemAfter taking a closer look at this, it appears my .htaccess file had been compromised somehow, creating malicious redirects. I regenerated my permalinks and the issue is solved.

In reply to: Help with reinstallation after trying to updateThank you for the response!
I followed your instructions and am partially up and running. I’m able to login to my dashboard and my content appears to be intact. However, whenever I try to load a post on my blog, I get an error that the page does not exist. Do you know how I might go about fixing this issue?
Thanks again for your help!

In reply to: More Tag not visible in the Visual EditorI am experiencing this issue now as well, using WP 3.6. Oddly, I was able to view the more image until recently. Something, although I don’t know what, seems to have happened to have recently caused it to disappear.

In reply to: Remove sidebar to create more spaceThanks for the reply. My blog is at https://www.assortmentstoday.com. Basically, it’s a three-column layout, and I’m hoping to remove the sidebar on the left on individual posts.
I’d love any feedback or suggestions on the proper code I’d need to use to accomplish this. Thanks!

In reply to: 2.9 upgrade failedI was more or less able to solve the MySQL issue, but still have another lingering problem (see below).
I use 1and1 as my host and was getting the same error many people here are getting about having the wrong version of MySQGL. I had to change my package to a different Linux package that supported MySQL 5, which I did.
After changing my package, I exported my MySQL database using the WordPress built-in backup feature under the tools menu.
I then went into my 1and1 site administration and created a NEW MySQL5 database, and imported the file that I backed up from WordPress.
I then edited my wp-config.php file with my new database name and username and uploaded that to my server.
I was then able to successfully upgrade to WordPress 2.9.
However, I’m having an odd issue with some “junk” appearing in some of my posts in the form of a question mark icon. Not sure exactly what’s causing this, but I think it has something to do with some of the MySQL 4 code not converting 1:1 to the MySQL5 code… something about line breaks, or UTF8… or something?
If anyone has any thoughts on this issue, it would be most appreciated.

In reply to: Insert Music won’t create link in postOkay, weird, seems to be working now. I think it had something to do with the link URL not being filled out automatically, but uh, it seems to be working now!
