I appreciate the response back to me. I would attempt it again I am just not sure seeing how last time it crashed my website.

Everything is indeed working but I had to get assistance from my hosting provider to disable the plugin where it locked everything down. I wanted to use the plugin on my new site that is launching but it just was too complicated to setup. Thank you.

I have performed the steps you suggested on some of the other threads but now when I try to go back into my site it says the following. Look at the link. It is asking me to install WordPress. Is there a way to repair this? Please help asap.

Under the Authors role I am wanting to take off fields that are currently present that I do not need the authors to use. Hope that makes sense. Is there a plugin that could do the trick?

I have tried this method and it is not working for me. Is there another alternative that is easier with modifying what the author role sees when they login under new posts?

I am unfamiliar with User Role Editor. Is this a difficult plugin to configure and should this do the trick for me?

Any help or feedback on this would help me out tremendously.

I have confirmed and all users have this option unchecked so they should have the ability to see the visual editor but it’s still not populating or showing them the editor. Please advise.

Thanks for the reply. The weird thing is I can assign any author role to editor for example then everything displays fine with no issues on the Visual Editor side. If I change it back to Author the Visual Editor and all of its options disappear. Just needing to know if this plugin will correct it or if I have something else happening altogether. To me it seems like a simple thing of authors role not having enough access.

If it is not a plugin I wonder what it is? It looks similar to other plugins I have seen for WordPress. Would like to find out how they do that process or how I can get my posts from my WordPress site to look similar to that on our Facebook page. Is this something possible?

So the overall look over at nerdist.com with how it has 3 blog posts across then 3 rows below that is what I am generally looking for. I cannot find a theme that has the option of having all the posts look like that. I am not sure if that is a grid format or what that is all about but every theme I have looked at so far has the typically post and comment and makes you scroll down the page to see more where I am wanting them to be horizontal like nerdist.com. Does this make sense to anyone?
Do most themes have the ability to be changed to this type of format? Is there a way to download that theme and tweak it for myself and change items around? Do I need to have it made from scratch by someone as I am not familiar with coding.

I have searched on here as well at this link you provided but not finding anything similar to the layout as I had mentioned. I really like the layout of that site [see link above] and like the grid format with the blog posting. Anyone that can help me with identifying that theme or letting me know if its from scratch would be great. If the case that it is from scratch does anyone know of a site that has a theme like this with the option of having the layout in the type of way?
