I’m experiencing this same issue (just now & as well as after having upgraded to the 5.3.9 version). Sending our test email works, no problem, and people are recieving the confirmation emails…?the problem appears to be the appearance of the error message itself!

re: first question: yes – I basically disabled a whole swath of plugins and then gradually re-enabled them, rencountered the problem, stepped back one (disabling WP Audio Player again) and found that I was able to save new text into a manual excerpt field.

Specifically, this is with in an event managed by the WordPress plugin from https://wp-events-plugin.com/ – which event pages I have as behaving as ‘pages’ (rather than posts)…?there’s a whole slew of settings therein which might make a difference, but I’m not in a space at the moment to try begin enumerating them. Also, I didn’t go to verify the situation in other pages or posts, though I’m guessing the text which appeared to be stuck as my event’s manual excerpt did look like it might have been something added to that field for a blog post.

Just had the same thing happen, but appeared to have narrowed it down to WP Audio Player by Version 1.4 | By Tom McFarlin – that is unless its presence is triggering another plugin to misbehave?

Yes, I’m want to find a plugin where I can highlight text and then apply predefined styles from a dropdown menu in the editor – I thought tinyMCE would do this when I saw its style menu – but as you know – it shows some styles from elsewhere…?

are there any other (plugin or otherwise) solutions to this? I’m hoping to get away from using those span classes – they take the WIZ out of the wysiwyg, or put it in it. I’m not sure expect that better is definitely possible here

It’s true, I see the same thing. It’s a bit more than a flash. It’s a pity too because I found this the easiest typekit plugin of the three I perused.
I’m experiencing this on mac os 10.6, in both firefox 3.6.12 (so not just webkit then?) & safari 5.0.2

Having the same problem here: I dig around in the WP install’s mysql database and found a mention of my erroneous key… how i don’t know well enough what i’m doing, so i wasn’t able to save my replacement w/ the key I want it to have.

anyone have an insight on this?
