I reinstalled WordPress 4.0 and the posts seem to be working for now, but don’t know if more issues are going to crop up again. I have had more trouble with this since moving to WordPress 4.2.2, though not sure why.
Thank you for the response. I kept browsing through the forums and actually found a resolution to this problem. I had to remove <script src=”https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.2/jquery.min.js”></script> from my header.php and then installed the jquery updater plugin in order to get all my plugins that use jquery to all work properly at the same time.
