@mailpoet I’m wondering the same — are the updates you’re referring to related to the MailPoet 3 or 2.7.14? Also — I’ve found that I’m still getting spam signups even after deleting all my MailPoet forms. It does seem like there’s an exploit in the plugin itself?

I installed WP-Spamshield yesterday and haven’t had any new spam/unconfirmed sign ups yet. I’ve only been getting a couple a day but they managed to get my SendGrid account blocked temporarily with all the spam messages being sent. I’d prefer not to have to have yet another plugin on my site and already have Akismet.

I am having a same/similar problem, though the volume on my site is less. I have deleted all Mailpoet signup forms but I keep getting new “unconfirmed” subscribers to my WP site and I can’t figure out how they are getting there. Then those same addresses get spammed via my SendGrid account. I just installed MailPoet 2.7.14. Hoping the switch to MailPoet 3 will help but have several things I need to migrate before that will work (many automatic newsletters, and when I last tested moving I found that my subscribers did not import). Is there a fix for these spam subscribers coming? I will try the WP-SpamShield if my host approves.

How are you able to identify which IP address the signup spam is coming from?

And I hope we can use Google recaptcha for security on our sign up forms. I use that with my Contact Form 7 forms and it’s working well.

I’m running into this problem too — and it’s been working perfectly up until now. No recent plugins installed.

Has this count issue been resolved? I’m seeing a big discrepancy between the number of subscribers I see on a specific list (23) and what it shows in the sending area of the newsletter (6).

It turns out that I had to republish my typekit fonts in order to make them SSL compatible.

Also, my theme designers had set up the typekit embed code to run through my Genesis settings in the header, so that’s what was generating the code you saw.

I really really appreciate you helping me troubleshoot it, especially since it wasn’t the fault of your plugin at all!

Yep, I see that the code is not there. You are right!! I’ll try to figure out what else is outputting the fonts and go from there. THANK YOU for your help and my apologies for not coming to the right place with the question.

Thank you! This looks like exactly what I need to do.

But, I can’t figure out how find the Options tab that you’re showing. I’m just not familiar enough with MailChimp yet. If I’m on the lists page and click on forms for the list I want, I see the form I’ve already created but no obvious way to make a new form, delete this old one, or access the lovely options menu you’ve shown me in your screenshot.

I’m sure I’m just missing something.

Can you point me in the right direction?

Hi, I’m using the embedded form code on this site https://kristinecarey.com, but the subscription confirmation page doesn’t come up when someone clicks subscribe.

It does WORK — people ARE being added to the list and they DO receive the click here to confirm your email subscription, but it doesn’t LOOK like anything is happening so it’s not good.

I tried using the widget but that wouldn’t work either.

On this site, there are other MailChimp plugins running. I tried turning a few of them off, still have ChimpExpress running too.

Any tips?
