    Thanks

    I understand that when it comes to body. I just can’t find the color to my specific selection. I only can find it for the body. What I’m asking is: If I found how to change the size of my selected area. I just can’t see a code for color. I only can change the size. SO I’ve located what I need to edit without an option to change the color.

    I actually found how to change the color. I highlighted the text in firebug. I scrolled down to the right under style and saw body; under that color. Then I changed the color. The thing is, it changed the entire text of my entire page instead of the highlighted part. I actually found the part to resize the highlighted text, yet there is no color option to change it.

    I’m kind of new to this. Are you saying I should add h2.featured-subtitle added to custom css. I’m trying to change the color.

    in fire bug, under style, it looks like this. this is what i get when i go to my site, highlight the text, open the inspector
    h2 {
    font-size: 2.25em;
    margin-bottom: 0.75em;
    margin-top: 0.75em;
    }

    Thanks. I simply deleted the child theme and uploaded it again, and most of my problems were solved.

    None. Created a child theme with nothing in it from a zip file. Then uploaded it. Copied everything from my style.css parent folder into my child style.css folder. Updated it, and fore the most part, everything was there. My menu was out of order without its drop-downs. And my background color wasn’t there along with the header picture. But what bothers me was how, even after I fixed the issue, my site, when the child theme is activated, doesn’t look right on mobile devices. Could this mean it’s a problem with the original zip file child theme that had nothing in it? Do I need to create a different child theme in a different way? If so, how many child themes can one have?

    Already have, but still waiting for a response. Thanks for your time.

    I’ve done my research. Thanks for giving me the information about child themes. I actually created a child theme. Thing is, is when I copied everything from my style.css folder into the child theme style.css folder, my background disappeared, my menu got disorganized, and most importantly, when my site is viewed on a mobile site when I have the child theme selected, the mobile site is not responsive. Any reason why that may occur?

    Thanks. I figured out that it’s only doing this with my child theme. When I switch back to the parent theme, it’s fine.

    Thanks. I am just learning about this… If I make a child theme, do I have to start over? Meaning, will I lose everything on my site that I already have? Other than that, how do I make a child theme? And what exactly is a child theme. I will visit the links provided, but if you can elaborate that would be great. If not, thank you. You’ve been a great help. I really appreciate it. Oh yeah, why is this theme buried in directories? Are all themes buried in directories? What does buried in directories exactly mean? I’ve seen other tutorials, where people were able to edit the responsive theme easy? Out of curiosity, why can’t mine be edited?

    This my site below. I was trying to at least change the home and about page to a different color. Possibly black. Then I will change the text to white. I just wanted to know the formula to do this, so I can experiment until I find the correct color that will fit suit. I thank you for your time. Thanks. If you have any success, please let me know how you figured this out. I went to the style css page, and when I choose the responsive theme to edit, that page doesn’t have that much to edit. Yet from the drop down box, twenty, eleven, twenty-twelve, twenty, thirteen, and twenty-fourteen has a lot to edit. Which one should I choose to edit from?

    Thanks for your responses. When I get to the styles.css page. At the top-right, it says, select theme to edit. There’s a drop down box that says responsive. (I have the responsive theme) But there is a drop down box that says, twenty-eleven, twenty thirteen, twenty fourteen, and twenty twelve. I picked responsive as the theme to edit, but that page is very short, with barely nothing to edit. But the rest of those choices I mentioned above has a lot to edit. Which one should I edit if my responsive doesn’t have much to edit?

    I deactivated all plugins, but still the same. I cleared cache, still had the same problem. But when I went into appearance, menus and clicked automatically add new top level pages, I then was able to see my pages appear. But in order to get rid of these pages I have to do it within the menu page. Why? Just curious, because normally I would go to all pages and delete from there. I also never had a problem adding and seeing my pages form there too. Now I still go to new page then publish. But I won’t see pages on my website unless I go to menu and check automatically add new top level page. But problem solved. Thanks. Do you have any explanations on why I have to do this under the menu tap now?

    I’m not sure. Kind of new to this. I only have a custom home page. How can I check to see if I have caching enabled?
