I was getting a lot of comment spam. I succeeded in getting all of it into moderation, but I didn’t want a hundred spams to moderate every day. Recently I decided to try putting an extra checkbox on the comment form, and that has worked against the worst bots. Here are my instructions:

I got the same error by trying to say “form data” inside a comment. I changed it to just “data” and it went through. The full comment is here:

I had the same problem, but not from the spoiler-fix plugin. I’d changed the wpautop function to eliminate stray linebreaks in my imported blogger entries, and that had the unintentional effect on my comments. Also on this line the quotation marks need to match:
font: italic normal 230% ‘Arial”

I emailed Alex, but my template won’t work with his style switcher (a problem I also had with my style switcher in MovableType) so I don’t think he’ll be archiving it.

Maybe I should speed up the color changes. The original version was faster, but I prefer the more subtle effect.

He’s probably redirecting the old MT URL’s to the new WP entries with mod_rewrite. Depending on how you do the redirect, you may still see the old URL with the underscores in the location bar. I don’t know how he did it, but I explain how I did it in my blog.

You don’t need a wrapper div for that – you can always put a class or ID on the body tag itself.

I was using Safari 1.2.1 on Mac OS X 10.3.3, but it can’t be responsible for the problem on the other person’s blog. I suppose it’s possible he was reinstalling the first time I tried to reach the site – which works fine for me now as well.

No, I wasn’t blogging in the 1500’s – I was just experimenting. I can change the dates to something equally silly in the future, but for the record this is a feature MT has and WP doesn’t. See https://jemimap.freeshell.org/moveablecolor/ – the month names are in Portuguese, which was as close as I could get to Latin in MT.

Something’s wrong with your link, Gregor, but I got there. I’m not a 3 column person myself, but for CSS I highly recommend the House of Style (tutorials) and Stylemaster (30 day demo) from westciv software.

You don’t want the amp; – each of those should be just an ampersand. If that doesn’t fix the 500 error then you can try adding IfModule tags to the .htaccess file – you can see an example of that in my blog along with advice on redirecting old MT pages to WP.
