Hi,
I see. Thanks for your quick response. I’ll continue searching for a plugin that would give me that functionality, but, as said earlier, I haven’t seen anything yet so far, except for some paid solutions, that our small choir can’t afford.
Thanks anyway for Tablepress!
regards, jehojakim
Hi,
The capability the OP mentioned, is also a big wish for me (the director of the choir my site is about, should be able to enter data in the “Rehearsal Schedule”, visible to all choir members).
I searched a lot for real spreadsheet functionality in a WordPress plugin, but didn’t find one so far. Being able – for certain roles – to edit the content of a Tablepress table on the front end side would be at least a partial fulfillment of that wish.
Any chance this could be implemented in the near future?
Best wishes, and of course thanks for Tablepress so far!

In reply to: [Twenty Sixteen] Subitem of main menu alignment wrongHi, thanks for our reply!
I went to your site, it’s looking good in the way the menu’s are created and placed!
But I think that what I want it not as complicated as this. If you go to my site ( Vocaal ensemble Leeuwarden), and hover above the first item (“Het koor”) in the main menu, then you see the sub item “Organisatie”. Hopefully you agree with me that the word “Organisatie” is placed way to far left.
If, though, you hover above the third item (“Concerten”), then you see the two subitems (“Komende concerten” and “Vorige concerten”) placed neatly under the main menu.
So the question is: how can the sub menu item under the first item of the main menu, be placed correctly?- This reply was modified 4 years, 4 months ago by jehojakim.

In reply to: [Twenty Sixteen] Subitem of main menu alignment wrongWell, I’m absolute a WP-beginner, so there you guide me in the proper direction.
But my question is about subitems in a menu, not about categories/subcategories.
I did read the article now, of course, but I don’t see any hooks to my problem there. But thanks for your reaction!

In reply to: [Twenty Sixteen] Text in widget not savedSolved.
You have to switch from Visual to Text modus, using the buttons above the text itself. Then you get the html-code, and the changes you make then can be saved with the “Bijwerken” (“Update”) button.
It’s a little weird, though…
OK, thanks! Sometimes it’s hard to find all that’s possible in today’s software, at least for me…

In reply to: Submenu item too far leftOK, thanks, I’ll do!
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Submenu item too far leftI do use a child theme already.
Entering the code you suggest does not change the behaviour.
As I stated in my opening, I entered that the way you mention too:
Admin Panel -> Appearance ->; Customize -> Additional CSS field
The parent theme is Twentysixteen, by the way; I should have mentioned that.

Forum: Localhost Installs
In reply to: Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirectsSolved.
I had made a copy of the site, and a new .conf in /etc/apache2 to reflect that. Apparently there the loop was created. I still have to investigate how to make a copy properly, but for now the problem is solved.

In reply to: Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirectsHmm,, even if I remove the .htaccess completely (I have a backup), the error messages stay the same… Also after restarting Apache.
Forum: Localhost Installs
In reply to: Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirectsHmm, thanks for your quick reply. But after deleting that part, saving the file, and opening the url again, both the message from the browser, and the error messages coming up in apache’s error log stay the same.
After that, I also commented out the offending rewrite rule that exists after the BEGIN WordPress line, but that too didn’t help.
I don’t think I have to restart Apache, do I?
This works, thanks! Do you know where I can find these kind of knowledge, other than asking the questions here?
I’m afraid I cannot post a link to the site at this moment. It is still under construction on my local pc, and not yet ready to publish or share without infringing the (rather strict, as they should be) privacy laws applicable here (the Netherlands.)
But maybe a more detailed description helps:
In my case the issue is that, in a users profile menu, if one chooses to make changes, using the gearwheel icon,, one is presented a menu with four items: (“Edit profile”, “My account”, “Log out” and “Cancel”), which are presented white characters on white background. So only visible in the status bar of the browser. Thanks for reacting!
