In reply to: [Dinky] 2 More Social Networks? Thanks, though I just cannot get this to work properly. I wish I could learn enough coding to make this all work, though that seems beyond me at this time.
Is there anybody I can hire to fix it?

In reply to: [Dinky] 2 More Social Networks?Tried to tweak the code, though not being a programmer I am now afraid of making a mess. Still the same error message ??
Anybody, suggestions?

In reply to: [Dinky] 2 More Social Networks?OK, I tried all of this, and I now get this error on the Dinky Themes Options page next to ResearchGate and Academia.edu (at least they both appear on the list now ?? ):
Warning: call_user_func() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘dinky_settings_field_social_researchgate’ not found or invalid function name in /usr/home/jeffreykeefer/public_html/jeffreykeefer/wp-admin/includes/template.php on line 1176
Not sure what this means . . .

In reply to: [Dinky] 2 More Social Networks?Wow, that sounds complicated!
I only need 6 icons; would it be easier to upload only those and be done with it? If so, can you provide some guidance how to code it so they point to these new icons?
Thanks again!

In reply to: [Dinky] 2 More Social Networks? Thanks. I will try to adjust that and then report back here.
One follow-up. I cannot see where the current icons are located, as I need to make sure that I know the size and format for the new ones I need. Any idea where those files are?
I would love icons that would match, though do not think that will be possible so may need to replace the others already there that I will still use.
Suggestions?
Thank you again.

In reply to: [Tools for Twitter] Not automatically downloading tweetsI am still have the issue, and to my knowledge it has not been fixed yet. Ironically, sometimes it does in fact work, while other times it does not. Quite strange.
I really hope it gets fixed, as I really count on this.

In reply to: [Tools for Twitter] Not automatically downloading tweetsThanks, electricbob. That sounds more technical than anything else I do with WordPress. I sure hope this plug-in does not start to require that sort of knowledge! As a long-time user of Twitter Tools, it always worked with previous versions without this.
Not sure how to continue troubleshooting it . . .

In reply to: [Tools for Twitter] Not automatically downloading tweetsCan you give some guidance where I should look for the wp_options table? That may be a bit more technical than I know where to look.
BTW, when I click to update the Tweets, they all still update nicely; I just have to remember to do it once or twice a day.
Thanks.

In reply to: [Tools for Twitter] Not automatically downloading tweetsI find the same thing, my posts do not appear to be automatically downloading either.
I have both Enable Twitter Tools and Create blog posts from tweets checked, and while they do come down when I click the Download Tweets Now button, I have to click the button for this to happen.
I am using 3.0.3 and Social 2.6 on WP 3.4.2.
Thank you.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Permalink ProblemI just uninstalled and reinstalled everything, and still the same. None of my permalinks seem to be working.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Permalink ProblemI just reset to the default, though nothing seems to be happening differently. The individual posts now point to the default names, though they do not appear to work.
BTW, my blog is located at https://silenceandvoice.com.

In reply to: Twitter Tools not updatingI have been having a similar problem, and while Twitter Tools is posting my blog post to Twitter, I am not longer receiving the daily blog posts Twitter Digests I so used to like getting. I believe I have the most current versions of everything, though I am still having this issue.
Following Alex’s suggestion, I will try to provide the bug report he suggested:
A good bug report with a reproducible use case looks something like this:
Twitter Tools Version: 2.0
WordPress Version: 2.8.6
Expected Behavior: I post to Twitter every day, and I expect a daily digest of my Tweets to post to my blog
Observed Behavior: The Tweets never post to my blogI took a screen shot of the top of Twitter Tools in my blog’s admin screen, and noticed there is a strange look for the date:
https://silenceandvoice.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/twitter-tools-problem.jpgThe drop downs also seem a little odd, so I took another screenshot of one of them:

In reply to: Twitter Tools 1.5.1a not updatingI am also having the same problem with Twitter Tools. I just installed 1.5.1a to WordPress 2.7, and while it works well, my blog posts are no longer causing a new Tweet post announcing the blog post. I have both “Enable option to create a tweet when you post in your blog” and “Set this on by default?” with “Yes” selected, but still no blog posts.
Is anybody else still having this problem? Love Twitter Tolls otherwise!!
