Hi There,
I have recently started using the Elementor plugin. I had it installed for a while but never got around to working out what it does. I’ve only been using it for a couple of weeks, but now the colour picker in the edit text box does not appear (screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/8AIgM6Q)I am not saying that it disappeared because of the Elementor plug in, as I have not done any changes on the site for a while, but I have no idea where to start.
Thanks

In reply to: [Download Manager] PDF file does not downloadHi Shafaet,
My uploaded files are no longer downloading whereas they were before.
This is the page for downloading materials:

In reply to: [Download Manager] PDF file does not downloadOh! Well is it possible to rollback to a previous version of your plugin that worked until you resolve the issue? Converting ALL of my downloads to a different method is going to take an enormous amount of time.
Thanks

In reply to: [Download Manager] PDF file does not downloadHi there;
I have the same problem, none of my files are downloading and I have the latest 3.2.12 update. I’m using with Hestia theme. I tried disabling SG Optimizer based on information from a previous thread but that didn’t help.Is there a fix for this problem yet? My site is primarily downloads for users.
Thanks
Hi Sanjeev;
Thanks for replying. I paid a developer to fix the registration in the end. It was very problematic. He didn’t go into detail, but it took him a lot longer than he first anticipated. I think the LearnDash plugin may have caused some issues.
Hi Sanfeev;
Thanks for your reply. Re: ‘the reset password email is sent to the user but the email content does not contain the reset password link but a link to the login page’ – yes, that is correct, it isn’t sending the new user a reset password email.
The SMTP provider is set as ‘Other’.
Re: ‘Your SMTP provider might have logs to check or you can install email logging plugins to check if the reset password was sent’ – Maybe, but if the correct link to reset the password was sent when I tested the process I would have received that email, right? I didn’t I received an email with a different link taking me to the login page, so I’m a little confused by this suggestion. Can you explain a little further how the SMTP provider log would have a record of an email with a reset password link being sent when the actual email received contains a link to the login page. I don’t understand how or why that would happen. The log would surely show a record of the email that was actually received right? It would be strange if the log showed something else. And if there was an error, wouldn’t I get sent an error message?
Thanks

Hi Sanjeev;
I think that perhaps you don’t fully understand what I’ve said at the start, particularly the – ‘things worked fine prior to 24/02/2021’ and the bit where I said ‘I checked the registration process and it wasn’t working; that is, it wasn’t sending the new user an reset password email’. The main problem is that the new users are getting an email, but not the one with the link to set a password. Instead, they’re getting a link to the login area. Obviously they don’t have a password, so they can’t log in. Furthermore, as I also originally pointed out, they can’t bypass this process by clicking the ‘Forgot Password’ link, because that doesn’t generate the right email either. So it just becomes a frustrating circular problem.
In answer to your question above; yes of course the ‘Force From Email’ box was checked and all the settings were correct, otherwise things would never have been working in the first place, right? As for checking Spam, well, of course I checked the spam – I am not a tech expert, but I’m not an idiot either; I’ve been using these frustrating machines for 30+ years. I just came on here as a last resort as I’d exhausted all of my own testing an reconfiguring. I would have reverted to a backup from before the 24/02 to check all settings from the point when things worked, but I had done a lot of additional work on the website since and didn’t really want to undo it all.
Ultimately, I think I have a some problem that is beyond the scope of my knowledge or the information I can get from here, so I’ve opted to solicit the skills of a professional who knows what he’s doing instead, as I think its an issue related to code rather than plugin settings, which is way beyond my remit of knowledge. Nevertheless, thank you for taking the time to respond.

Hi Sanjeev,
Thanks for your reply.I don’t have that feature, however, the test email was sent successfully. The only message I received was:

In reply to: [WooCommerce] LearnDash ‘Edit profile’ link to WooCommerce ‘Account page’…as an adjunct to this. Perhaps an adjustment or iteration of your plugin as it works with LearnDash that allows users to change the degree of password strength, and perhaps also change there avatar might be useful ??

In reply to: [WooCommerce] LearnDash ‘Edit profile’ link to WooCommerce ‘Account page’Hi,
Thanks for replying. The image you’ve shown shows more or less the same fields as my Account Details, so I gather that what you’re suggesting is that all the user needs to do is put a different email in that field (and the other fields I suppose) to change it. I didn’t consider this because the default text on this page doesn’t communicate that these details can actually be changed on this page. Perhaps a slight revision of the text that specifies that all details on that page can be changed would be a good idea. Thanks for the heads up though. And thanks for the links for changing the password parameters; I’ll give them a go.
Cheers

In reply to: [User Role Editor] Customer levels cannot edit their profile pageYou can add the WooCommerce short code [woocommerce_my_account] to your account page. However, this then changes the parameters for your password (12 characters – and very particular) and also, in my experience, no option to change the avatar. I am actually trying to find a way to change this because the password change is way too pernickety and off putting for users. LearnDash seem not to know where their own ‘Edit profile’ page links to when WooCommerce is deactivated!

In reply to: [Uncanny Toolkit for LearnDash] Password strengthHi,
Yes, you’re right. The shortcode in the account page is a Woocommerce shortcode. Thanks.The dilemma I have now, and I’m not sure if this is your domain, but the ‘Edit Profile’ link in the LearnDash profile doesn’t take me to a place to edit my profile. Looking through their support, there also doesn’t seem to be a shortcode that sends users to a page to edit their profile. The only one available is the Woocommerce code. Is there an easy way to resolve this that I’m missing?

In reply to: [Uncanny Toolkit for LearnDash] Password StrengthHi There,
I am having a similar problem with the password. The instruction states:Hint: The password should be at least twelve characters long. To make it stronger, use upper and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols like ! ” ? $ % ^ & ).
But when I enter a password with these parameters, it doesn’t enable me to save the password as it says it is too weak. Could you tell me where I can change these parameters please?
Thanks
