… Or maybe a better question is, how do I tell WordPress, “HEY! This is a comments page?” ??

And better yet, “How do I tell WordPress that FIRST: this is a comments page, and SECOND: that it’s paged?”

Thanks very much, but unfortunately I can’t code in PHP and was really hoping there was a plugin for that.

As an example, I have this paragraph of text I want to use on four posts on my site:

“blah blah blah.”

I’d like to assign the above paragraph a variable [blah] and be able to insert it into my four posts by just using the tag, [blah].

Flash uploading with FF3 (on XP) does not work for me either. I am taken to the wp-admin/login screen after attempting.

Just for fun, try searching for the “search and replace” plugin, which searches your db and replaces data with whatever you specify.
