    @Barnez

    Thanks for the info. The problem is that for some SEO purposes, among others, I need to keep the pages in a vertical relationship, rather than spreading them out horizontally, all linking to the home page. I totally understand the reasoning behind WHY the URLs look the way they do and how they would change if the structure of the site was altered, but I need to find a way to make them look as in your and my examples above.

    Any ideas to do that?

    Thanks!

    Joni,

    Yes, I have 13 (I think) levels in the page, but each level only contains a single page with information regarding that particular city within Montgomery County.

    I added some stuff to the original post to make it a bit clearer. Basically all of the pages are linked in a straight line from the home page to the last page. The last page links to the home page.

    Thanks!

    esmi,

    Ok, I’m still fairly new to WP so a lot of things still make my head spin. Sooooo, how do you A) Export the content from the NEW site and B) Import the content to the OLD site? And once I do that, I won’t have to make any crazy changes to php files or anything to keep from getting a bunch of goofy errors?

    You’re great and I really do appreciate your help!

    esmi,

    Thanks for the response. I think 1 of 2 things (or both) is going on here. I’m either poorly explaining myself or not using the plugin correctly. Here’s what happened:

    Installed the test-drive plugin. Tested it. Made some changes to the ABOUT US page. Went back to original theme. Changes made in test-drive were visible on original theme.

    If I did something wrong, please advise.

    If I didn’t explain myself well, I’ll try again.
    I would like to begin the process of changing themes. What I would LIKE to do, if possible, is to begin building with the new theme, using the same URLs as the old while not disrupting the current site. For example, the ABOUT US page is at https://www.mydomain.com/about. Currently I’m using Theme A. I’d like to work on a NEW version of the ABOUT US page to be located at https://www.mydomain.com/about BUT using Theme B. Theme A and Theme B are very dissimilar so I’ll need to do a little bit at a time as I have to insert pictures and such.

    Is this possible and if so, how??

    Thanks again!
    Jeff
