1. Creating variable products to realize it will not work. All normal products (bottles) in the system would become unnecessary.
2. I will give plugin Quantity Buttons a try because basically what I want is a minimum order quantity of 6 pieces and the same amount as a quantity increment, so also a multiple of 6.

It was not my intention to blame anyone or anything. I just noticed the similar usage of the plugins in the hosting websites.

I will contact the hosting provider for logs.

I had the same issue on two websites.
@wphastings: are you running any Motopress or Cherry Framework plugins?

What can we do? Only thing I can think of is troubleshooting and debugging.
First step: create a full back-up ?? So whole website and database.

Next thing you could try is to switch to theme Twenty Seventeen and try the sign up form.

About your Mailchimp issue: did you try another sign up plugin yet? There are many out there.

Thanks Cais. But we managed to fix it ourselves. Somehow the X icon was not visible and a click outside the image neither did the trick.

The lightbox/fancybox did not work. We had add some code to the fancybox. In file jquery.easing-1.3.pack.js we placed this code around the whole code in the file:

jQuery(document).ready(function() {

//code in here

});
