Ok. Here are a couple things Im trying to acccomplish:

1) I want to make my footer image fit the space. Right now part of the image is being cut out. The “Fit” option makes the image too small to read, so i would like to use the “Fill” option.

2) I want to create my own sidebars.
2b) I want to change the background of the sidebar in the Single Post page. As is, it is hard to read.

3) In Grid View, my posts have a white background. I would like to be able to change that background.

4) I wanted to disable Mobile View of my site.

From the forum, I’ve come to understand that I need to copy the Parent theme’s style.css over to the child and modify that, but my parent theme shows no editable information for me to modify.

Of all the above, I would say #4 is the most important. My site looks like broken up, and the sidebars look crazy in mobile view.

Hi Christi, thank you. I think I will take your advice. Don’t want to have to deal with a bigger problem after site has launched. What did you mean by “Commercial”? Is that a negative thing? Should I be looking to exit my way out of there? If it causes problem after problem that others cant help me with, id rather take the time to switch out of there than to go through the frustration of finding someone who can help. Like I said above, their support said they cant help me because I am not a paid hosting member. Thanks so much for your input

who is firebug by? I tried using “Inspect element” by Chrome, but I dont know how to read any of that jargon, and even when I try copy exactly what I see on there, the code doesn’t work. Im worse than a newbie I suppose.

Thank you pfkellogg. It did work. How do I change the Content Background for my Single Blog page though. Right now it is hard to read my blog posts because of the Content Background. How do I edit the Content Background in Single Post view?

Andrew, that worked. But the image I am looking to change is the image directly behind the single post. Do you have a code that will either remove it or give me the ability to add a colored transparent backing to it? my posts are hard to read right now.
Let me mention that I only want to make these changes for the Single post page only.

I solved the font color problem, but still need help with the background of the single page post. I would like to keep it with the black transparent background as found in all other pages of my site. As is, right now it is hard to read the post because the white color of the words clash with my background.

Hi Salman. Im referring to the slider at the very top of my homepage. When it changes from one picture to another, everything below it shifts. How do I stop the up and down shifting?

Thank you WisdmLabs. What is the path to .fl-page-content? I went to File Manager, in the directory selection I selected Web Root, from there I could not locate .fl-page-root. I did manage to find a CSS folder though. Am I even close?
