I’ve discovered that if I alter the capability type to anything other than ‘post’ the post type will disappear :s

Figured it, I had a custom post type knocking everything out, feel a tad silly now

My mistake fixed it

hmmm, couldn’t really say what’s occurring there, I installed it on my site and it worked straight away.

Locate your themes files and edit comments.php

I’ve only glanced at your theme files however depending on your blog setup you may need a file called front-page.php

Just try duplicating index.php and renaming it to front-page.php

Reactivate the theme and give that a whirl
