Yes it is much better. It still likes to reformat stuff though. I start with the top image and go to ‘Visual’ and back to ‘Text’ I get the second image. A reload brings back the top image.. (Click link…..)

All of the test posts have an image strip at the top from the front page. The blog main page at the link above has a big blank page with no image. Other sites of mine have an image strip at the top of the blog main page. When you click to any of the individual posts you will see the image strip but not on the main post page. All I can figure is that maybe it is in my child theme (‘5 hacks child‘) The blog page list image strip is apparently created from the front page image.

And I can’t use this with WP-Engine due to the Compatablity Plugin error.

For the case of one shortcode, it appears that if one has more than 20 stock entries the last stock quote is entered in a second line. The hacks are: don’t have more that 20 stock quote entries or hack the styling so that the extra quote is hidden outside of the box (e.g. .stock-ticker-wrapper .stock-ticker-container { height: 1em; }).

I have similar problems. With my staging site using the shortcode once I have a stock quote on the far left on a second line. The quote on the second line is a copy of the one that just scrolled off the screen left. MyStagingSite
On a related live site MyLiveSite when first opened there is a lines worth of extra space between the two shortcodes (I used the shortcode twice so there should be two lines of quotes) which is resolved after the crawl completes.

For Multisite you need to reset these…

• My Sites->NetworkAdmin->Sites
• Select Edit of offending site
• Under Settings == fix both SiteURL and HomeURL

In multi site try tinkering with ‘My sites->Network Admin->sites->all sites’ Then hoover over a site and select ‘edit’. In ‘info’ and ‘settings’ the URLs either contains the multi site base info embedded or not. I find that when the multi site info is included in the URL I get the ‘Non-existent changeset UUID.’ error but when the URL in those entries is just the domain URL everything works OK and I can see the customizer display. This is not a definitive answer but it is a clue along the way.

I just tested this on my form and it works fine. You must have something else in your form not related to this plugin. I would like to put a short code in here but no luck with that with either this plugin or URL Params plugin.

Also, while looking at the actual rendered page content I noticed that there were 2 link rel=”canonical” entries, one is correct and is the one I set using Yoast and the other incorrectly leaves out the %category% and seems to be associated with the issue mentioned above. My current work-around is to modify the Custom Field pcst_canonical_permalink entry to correctly include the %category%. Lastly, in some of the syndicated posts there are multiple Custom field entries for pcst_canonical_permalink. They don’t seem to affect the actual rendered page source HTML.

I am marking this as resolved. FWIW this was mostly my misunderstanding of how to make this plugin work. I think it is great and will continue using it and probably purchase the ‘Pro’ version.

I just decided to “punt” and not use test sites. I got everything working so my apologies for the tempest in a teapot. I have another question I will deal with on another thread vis.a.vis canonical links.
