I do understand your reluctance.

Maybe consider adding it as a premium extension. That way: (a) you’d get paid for it, and (b) inexperienced users (who, presumably, would not purchase the extension) would not be confused by it. (I’d buy it!)

What I envision is simply a row of boxes above the normal first row, into which one could enter class names.

After our emails back and forth, I updated .htaccess and wp-config.php as per the Netword Setup instructions. I then added a new post, and things seem to be working.

And it case it helps, here is the HTML source for the Featured Iimage on Site B. Note again the reference to a “premier’ subdirectory. When I replace every instance of ‘/premier/’ with /wp-content/blogs.dir/2/ in my browser inspector, the Featured Image on Site B displays as it should.

I’m currently working on a WP MultiSite project in which I want to syndicate image galleries using the Broadcast plugin. I’m glad to see they have an addon for FooGallery. It’ll be real nice to have the dynamic galleries feature working!

Ok, this is very odd…

When I posted my original message, I could not see either the “More Options” or the “Hide Extended Options” links.

Then I modified one of the LCTW widgets and then rearranged the order of LCTW widgets. THEN I could see those links.

So I guess my problem is “solved” now, although I don’t understand how.

I want to use FooGallery for an upcoming project (and others), but I’m having to abandon it in favor of Responsive Lightbox & Gallery because the latter does support dynamic galleries.

One of the two ways RL&G implements dynamic galleries is by adding a (virtual) “folders” feature to the Medial Library and by allowing galleries to be populated from folders.

I hope you move the dynamic galleries feature up in your roadmap.

FWIW, implementing dynamic galleries based on categories and/or tags would make FooGallery stand out even more.

Ok, I just found this (emphasis mine) on the FooPlugins site, suggesting FooGallery Pro might give me what I’m looking for:

“Organize your images and other media using tags or categories, or both! Utilize existing taxonomies from other media plugins too!”

Does this indeed mean that I can create a dynamic gallery using the shortcode and media_category value in FooGallery pro?

Ahhh…

I see that the plugin does support manual excerpts. The problem is that the default limit_content value was cutting off the manual excerpts of 2 of the pages.

I was able to “fix” things by setting a very large number for the limit_content argument.

How about modifying the plugin so that if has_excerpt()is true and I’ve chosen to show content, then the character limit is ignored? I would think it’s safe to assume that if one has entered a manual/custom excerpt, he/she wants the full excerpt to display.

FWIW, it’s not just pre-7.2 versions of php that generate the error.

I echo your hope that the plugin author will update the plugin to fix the error.

I find the plugin very useful, especially for filtering categories and tags even without the search box. I’m in the midst of writing a blog article extolling the plugin’s virtues, and I’d like to be able to remove the disclaimer I feel a need to add, referencing the bug.

I’m with @andrewjerard. Sorrting by Title (or Full Name) would be helpful for maintenance purposes.
