In reply to: [Virtue] Full Page PostKadence Themes,
Thank you very much. Yes, I do want to change it so that the posts have a full screen layout. Just to be clear, this code gets posted in the functions.php file, correct?

In reply to: [Virtue] Full Page PostHannah – The “Display Sidebar” option is what I’ve been adjusting for every new post. Is there anywhere in the theme’s options to already have that value set to “No” when making a new post?
Kadence Themes – Yes, this is already set without a value.

In reply to: [Key4ce osTicket Bridge] Showing number of open tickets on frontendDo you think this has anything to do with my shortcode not working for me or a separate issue?

In reply to: [Key4ce osTicket Bridge] Showing number of open tickets on frontendThanks! Congratulations to you as well!
It very well could be me. No disputing that. However, I put the shortcode in an existing page that displayed just fine and now there is a 500 error. I remove the shortcode and the page worked just fine.
The rest of the bridge works fine, tickets post, you can edit ticket, etc. Just that shortcode doesn’t work for me and it might not like something on my system?

In reply to: [Key4ce osTicket Bridge] Showing number of open tickets on frontendSorry that I’ve been absent. Crazy stuff going on with my wedding coming up in two weeks.
It’s probably something on my end, but I am getting a 500 error with the shortcode.

In reply to: [Key4ce osTicket Bridge] Showing number of open tickets on frontendI was logged in and it wasn’t working. However, I downgraded from the latest upgrade because I wasn’t fond of how the frontend looked with the checkbox and close button.
Is there going to be an update released that will give the option to disable the ability for normal users to close tickets?

In reply to: [Key4ce osTicket Bridge] Showing number of open tickets on frontendI’m not sure if someone is having the same issue as me, but I tried putting this shortcode on one of my pages and it doesn’t work. It just shows the shortcode in the brackets.

In reply to: [Key4ce osTicket Bridge] Database PrefixHi samadex3,
I’m sorry, what do you mean send you the plugin for osticket? Sounds like you already have the plugin installed if you’re stuck in offline mode. One of the causes for being stuck in offline mode is the plugin isn’t connected correctly to your MySQL database which holds your tables for your osticket install.
Did you go to https://osticket.com/ to download and then install their software?
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Key4ce osTicket Bridge] Database PrefixWhen you go through the osticket install, you have to set a prefix value in the MySQL configuration part of the osticket setup. The setup requires you to set a prefix, whether it is the default (ost_) or something else that you might have set.
If you don’t remember what you made the prefix, you will need to go into the MySQL database to see what the prefix got set to.

In reply to: [Key4ce osTicket Bridge] Automatic logoutIt looks like the plugin author abandoned the plugin, or he isn’t keeping up with updating the plugin after the new WP version was released. Not really the bridges fault. It was when the the bridge would verify the login to retrieve the tickets, it booted me out. I heard lots of reports that the plugin was causing lots of problems with other people too.
The plugin I had problems with is linked below.

In reply to: [Key4ce osTicket Bridge] Topic SupportNtrabue,
This plugin is still very young and being developed by a good team at Key4ce. After seeing many replies by Marco, he welcomes hearing requests from the plugin users to implement other features in the future.
I do agree with you though, it would be nice to have a way to expand on helpdesk requests so it narrows the issues down. I’m sure this is something that the plugin team has thought about already.
Stick with the plugin right now by creating the departments. I’m not sure how big your helpdesk team is, but you can do a lot of user management so people are assigned to specific helpdesk requests.

In reply to: [Key4ce osTicket Bridge] Topic SupportI was actually looking at this myself when I first started using the plugin. If you use the departments menu on the admin panel of osticket, you can basically set “categories”. I didn’t really like it at first, but it actually grew on me because you can control who gets to see certain help desk categories doing it that way they designed this plugin when you setup users, teams, and groups. The only functionality you lose from the “Help Topics” is the use of detailed addon topic forms which isn’t a function with this plugin anyway.
