That was exactly it, the email address settings were being overwritten in functions.php

Hi Steve,
Sorry I know what my problem was. I tried connecting to the server using a normal debit card rather than one of sagepay’s test card numbers.
Silly mistake sorry to bother you, great plug-in by the way ??
