In reply to: More trouble with RSS2 feedI spoke too soon. It is working. Sorry. It wasn’t being picked up by the aggregator I use, but others are getting it.

In reply to: Error upgrading from 1.5 to 1.5.2Glitch remedied by re-uploading wp-admin and wp-includes.
Case closed. Thanks, Kafkaesqui.Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Error upgrading from 1.5 to 1.5.2I uploaded a fresh admin-functions.php file that came WITH text. I believe that got 1.5.2 running. But I still have the error message above keeping me from being able to post.
(Boy, I’m tired of talking to myself…)

In reply to: RSS renamed itselfWhether it’s a labelling problem or not, something is keeping this feed from automatically updating. Folks are able to manually download the mp3, but subscribers are not seeing it download.

In reply to: RSS renamed itselfThen I guess I have nothing to worry about. The feed must be working.

In reply to: RSS not updatingPingomatic is being pinged and most if not all the directories monitor that service.
I did make the mistake of sending out the following RSS feed to some of the directories early on: https://audiolingo/?feed=rss2&category_name=podcasts/
but that seems to bring up an identical feed. Plus, the same thing happens with directories that have received the corrected feed. I just this morning pinged one listing service that does require pinging with each show entry, and it also relisted that same first program. I’m rapidly going nuts over this.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Feed down for podcastEverything seems aok.

In reply to: Feed down for podcastI failed to read the error messages closely yesterday. Seems I had neglected to import the menu.php. I did so today and as a result can post.
I removed the word feed and its colon from the footer template, for both Entries and Comments. They still appear in front of both lines on the site. Could they be somewhere else in the code as well? It’s actually not a big deal, as the URL appears in the bottom menu bar (or whatever it’s called) anyway. But I do wonder why that change did not bring about, uh… change.
One more thing. There’s no edit link in my entries. Shouldn’t there be?

In reply to: Feed down for podcastI’m not finding the word “feed” there either. I’ll track it down later.
A more pressing concern is what happens when I try to post, which is basically nothing. https://audiolingo.org/wp-admin/post.php gives me multiple error messages. Any ideas?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Feed down for podcastAlso, the link to the “feed” removal recipe said I should eliminate the word “feed” from the tag “>RSS in the sidebar .php. Trouble is, that line doesn’t exist in the sidebar .php.
