In reply to: [EasyRecipe] Using Ziplist theme- can't delete labelsThe latest version of EasyRecipe suppresses those labels if there is no nutrition data to be shown.
The problem with using <Hx> tags in the recipe is that EasyRecipe has no knowledge of the structure of the post as a whole and can therefore can’t make a judgement as to what would necessarily be an appropriate heading tag to use. It’s a moot point anyway because recipe elements are already <i>precisely</i> marked up by EasyRecipe anyway – search engines already know exactly where the recipe title is for example. It won’t need a heading tag as a hint that the words in a recipe title are important.
However with EasyRecipe Plus, it’s a relatively easy task to create a custom template (that won’t be overwritten by plugin updates) where you can edit the underlying HTML and create a structure that is totally different from the standard EasyRecipe templates.

In reply to: [EasyRecipe] EasyRecipePLUS bought, installed & activated. Now what?Once you’ve checked that the Plus version installed and is working OK, you can de-activate both EasyRecipe Free and Ziplist.
Then once you confirm that everything is working as you expect with those plugins deactivated, you can delete them.
There’s no need to load every Ziplist post – EasyRecipe will read the Ziplist data and display it (even if the Ziplist plugin has been deactivated/deleted)

In reply to: [EasyRecipe] Will plugin allow email notification of new recipe post?If you use EasyRecipe, Jetpack should handle notifications to email subscribers when you publish a new post. As an aside, the latest version of EasyRecipe Plus can display your existing WP Ultimate recipes without you having to re-enter them or do any conversion.

In reply to: [EasyRecipe] How to get Recipe Image at Front EndEasyRecipe provides the capability to enter recipes, automatically mark them up for rich snippet views and gives you complete control over how recipes are displayed within a post. It doesn’t attempt to generate other pages. You should be able to generate pages like Recent Recipes and Category lists using the standard functions of your theme or a category list plugin.

In reply to: [EasyRecipe] Scaled image in the templeThere’s a couple of ways you might address this. It depends on which EasyRecipe template you’re using and exactly what you want to achieve. EasyRecipe Plus allows you to easily pick a different image for the recipe (you can do the same thing with EasyRecipe Free but it’s more work).
The original thinking for using the same image but scaled, is that the image will have already been downloaded and will be in the browser cache. In most cases (at least with the tests we did) it’s quicker to simply scale the recipe image from the larger page (cached) image than it is to download an extra “correctly” sized smaller image.
Leave us a ticket at https://support.easyrecipeplugin.com/submit-a-support-ticket/ if you want to discuss the options further.
