I have resolved question number 2, quite simply. For people reading this that are as clueless as me, navigation is run entirely through widgets. Just build your own custom bar and it will overwrite the existing one. My bad. Feel pretty dumb.
Meanwhile the other two issues remain. I tried implementing:
.webcomic-collections li {float: left; list-style: none;}
as described in this forum post, but it doesn’t seem to work. Now that I mention this, I would also like to remove the little bullet points from next to each thumbnail.
I’m very sorry for taking up your time, but I am completely at a loss.
