In reply to: [WooCommerce] Redirect after adding new product?Thank you for the reply – Yes, my ultimate goal is to have the add new product page redirect to another add new product page once I publish, without going to the edit page – will save me a LOT of time.
As per the slowness, I am hosted on Dreamhost, and yes, it is a shared VPS and only has 1gb of ram. I have had another shop hosted there in the past and that was also slow using the basic storefront theme, so it could be them – I figured it was just one of the things that came with using the site. I may eventually look into a better host once I can afford to.Other than that, I will definitely check out the different options you provided to see if anyone could help me out with this. Thanks again.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Cannot order categories alphabetically.Ok, so the plugin I installed was called Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order. Everything was fine before that. After deactivating and deleting, site is broken. It looks like the author of the plugin has not answered any help requests for quite some time now. Can anyone else help me get my site working again? From that plugin’s support forum, one person wrote the following:
“But since a few weeks, we starting to see some problems with the categories. It randomly changes the order on refresh on page/posts editors, some categories appear twice or more, some don’t appear. The problem is also present with a simple REST api query.
More about the REST API, after installing the plugin, the query parameter “orderby” no longer works.”
Not even sure if that’s a clue or not but figured I’d add it.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Cannot order categories alphabetically.Hi again – have had a bit of an insight as to what part of the problem may be.
Earlier today I installed a plugin. I thought that it would help organize the order of my categories easier, but all it did was change the order my categories appeared in the “Product Categories” on the “add new product” page. (See https://pasteboard.co/C7sVsHPBihkc.jpg )
That is not what I wanted so I deactivated and deleted the plugin.
Now, when I add a product and create a new parent category and/or subcategory for it, the parent category goes to the top of my categories list, and the subcategory goes to the top of the parent categories subcategories list, rather than alphabetically in the already existing subcategories.
It seems as though the plugin I added (I cannot find it again so I am unsure of its name) did not fully get deleted when I deactivated and removed it. I’m almost positive that is why all new categories aren’t getting sorted as they should.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Cannot order categories alphabetically.Furthermore, sub-categories are not being put in alphabetical order either.
For example, if you click on US Postcards, the order of the subcategories says:
New York – Ohio – Nebraska – Florida – MichiganNY, OH, NE were the last 3 created, starting with NE and ending with NY. So they’re stuck in the order of creation and will not alphabetize.
Ok, tyvm

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product Categories widget – how to keep visible? Thanks again – I took a look and verified that I have it set as a list and not a drop-down. Perhaps it is dependent on the theme then, because mine still shows on the left sidebar as:
All Categories \/
and does not show the list of categories until the down arrow is clicked to expand it. I’d really like it to be visible as soon as the page is loaded without requiring a click. If that is indeed something that is dependent on which theme is installed than I thank you for your time and I’ll try and find help from the theme creators.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product Categories widget – how to keep visible?I’m sorry, I thought the widgets were a core function and not different between themes. I had the same experience using the storefront theme. I will, however, try to figure out how to make it a list rather than the dropdown widget. Thanks!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Permanent attribute boxes when adding new products?I posted it in the wrong forum, reported it and asked for it to be deleted. Not a plugin issue.
