I’m in a similar situation, in my case in my first language I don’t have any problems but when I change language it doesn’t hang but the payment methods get disabled (in light grey).
Exactly the same happens using Hyyan WooCommerce Polylang Integration plugin, then I think it seems a “problem” caused by polylang.
