I believe I found the issue. It had to do with my cache plugin. We use SG Optimizer – I excluded some of the Defer Render-blocking JS settings – There are 2

1. /plugins/contact-form-7/includes/js/scripts.js
2. https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js?render= WITH A BUNCH OF CHARACTERS HERE

WHen I added these to FRONTEND> Defer Render-blocking JS it worked just fine

Same thing happens to all my sites too – the front end user gets an error, and all submissions go to flamingo spam folder.

Unsure if emails actually get sent or not.

Same here – using WP Version 4.9.5 and CF7 Version 5.0.1

I fixed it – but it was because under the Amp Themes, I was using Design one, when I changed it to Design Two, it worked fine. Something about design one is causing the error.

Got the exact same issue, perhaps something broke recently with recent updates to WP 4.8 or contact form 7 – Please advise and look into this.

This is not resolved.
