Hello Harley. Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Could you describe this part about dropping authorization with Google in more detail? A snippet from Postman’s log file would be most helpful.

By default, Sucuri Security 1.8.7 monitors the Postman_sent_mail post and generates an e-mail alert

You are right, I have always passed localhost as the sender for the Gmail API, and have never seen the error “421 4.7.0 Try again later, closing connection.”

I will make an update to use the domain of the configured address instead.

AFAIK, the API’s are still working. Do you believe there is a bug? Or are you only commenting on the video I created to show how to use Google’s interface?

Hi guys. Postman doesn’t create mail, it just delivers it. It certainly doesn’t add HTML tags to email.

Check with the author of the program that is creating the actual email.

You are right, connecting to an external mail server somewhere on the Internet (what you referred to as SMTP) can be slow. Connecting to a mail server running on the same machine (what you referred to as phpmail) is obviously much quicker.

That’s just the way the Internet is. To make it faster, you need better bandwidth. Some have asked me if Postman could send mail in the background. 1) php does not support concurrency and 2) the person who triggered the email would have no way of knowing if the email was sent successfully or not.

@muzedevelopment Postman hasnt been updated because SMTP never changes, nor has the WordPress wp_mail API. If you think you have found a bug though, I would be happy to address it.

It’s the first time I’ve heard about a ghost attachment. If it’s a reproducible bug I can definitely look into a fix.

That’s right. iconv is a required library.

If you installed PHP yourself, you should be able to install this library, or enable it in your php config file.

If you are not in control of your php installation, because for example you pay someone to host WordPress for you, then you may have to contact your host for help.

Something must have changed. Maybe you added a new plugin, or upgraded a plugin in woocommerce. You can always look at the log to see what Postman is doing.
