We are having the same exact issue mentioned in this post On our client’s WC system we are using WooCommerce Services. They are based in NC. We have the “Enable automated taxes” turned on (and connected) and it still ONLY charges tax to customers shipping to an address within NC. We have hundreds of orders now from out of state customers who were not charged tax at all… ZERO.
From what I can see, the WC Services plugin is now incorrect for ALL but 11 states in the US???
Since last year, states have been announcing mandatory tax for remote sellers, no matter if they have Nexus in that state or not. This means the “automated” taxes ONLY work if you’re selling to customers within your own state?
If this is the case, this plugin is massively misleading. Maybe I’m way off base here. Can someone help?
