I experienced the same thing. In addition to adding product attributes, this plugin also change the product to a Variable Product and added a product Variation.
Also, the tool didn’t add attributes; it replaced them. I wanted to use your tool to add additional attributes to my products without losing the attributes I already had in place. I had to restore my site from a backup.
I would welcome the features of this tool and hope that you make improvements. But your v1.0 currently does more damage than good.
Version 3.8.5 that was posted three days ago resolves this issue. I’d like to thank leewillis77 for his efforts.
And to be clear, IPN within Paypal needs to be enabled. Here is where you’ll find those settings:
Paypal.com > My Account > Profile > My selling tools > Instant payment notifications > Update
* Notification URL: https://www.yourdomain.com
* IPN messages: Receive IPN messages (Enabled)Mufasa,
I’ll be the first to admit that the issue may be a configuration error either with my WP e-Commerce or PayPal Standard IPN settings. Admittedly, I’ve had some difficulty finding clear documentation as to what the optimal settings should be, so I’ve tried and tested many configuration settings.
I’ve documented two of my settings in this forum:
* https://getshopped.org/forums/topic.php?id=21713
Leewillis77 was kind enough to suggest that I make some modifications to my PayPal settings, which I did. Sadly, I did not receive a different outcome in results.
Mufasa, if you have any configuration suggestions that you would like for me to try (other than what I’ve already tested here https://getshopped.org/forums/topic.php?id=21713), I would be happy to do so.
Thank you for your time.
Patnz,
Correct. The issue is not yet resolved. Lee and I have performed some testing for developers and made comments here:

Two more forum threads on this issue may also be found here:
* https://getshopped.org/forums/topic.php?id=21713
* https://getshopped.org/forums/topic.php?id=20733Our issues pertain to PayPal Standard. PayPal Premier likely has a separate .php file to process those transactions.
Lee,
Thank you very much for offering to help. The updated code also does not process PayPal Standard IPN’s correctly, which is too bad.
Just to be clear, I did the following.
1. I replaced the contents of paypal-standard.merchant.php with https://code.google.com/p/wp-e-commerce/source/browse/trunk/wpsc-merchants/paypal-standard.merchant.php
2. I configured WP e-Commerce and PayPal Standard using the settings I documented here: https://getshopped.org/forums/topic.php?id=21713
3. I then attempted to purchase something. WP-Admin > Store Sales still lists paid purchases as Incomplete Sale and is waiting for me to manually change it to Accepted Payment
Unless I have something configured incorrectly (documented in the link I provided), PayPal IPN for PayPal standard still doesn’t work.
I appreciate, however, your effort to assist. Thank you.

In reply to: Mobile versionI’ve tried Alex King’s WordPress Mobile Edition and it works as promised: “A PDA friendly interface for your blog. It’s (almost) XHTML compliant.”
It does a good job of stripping out most layout and displays only one post per page.
The only problem I have with his Mobile Edition is that you can no longer administer your blog via a mobile device (e.g. you can’t get to /wp-admin/).
I’m a Treo 650 user and often find myself approving comments and writing posts via my cell phone. With Alex King’s WordPress Mobile Edition plugin, I could no longer do so.
