If I delete or rename it, I get a broken login screen. It has fields that won’t work. If I reinstate the plugin, it says I don’t have permission to enter site. Give me location of error log, and I’ll go look there.

Holy Cow – just updated the plugin – how do I get rid of it right now, because I can’t access the admin panel. Deleting the plugin or renaming it was no success.

Ha, it wasn’t the update at all. It turned out to be something within the slider itself. Never figured out what was wrong with it, but could create a new one and add in the same images, then post that to the home page. Works fine now.

Hadn’t thought of that. Just did so, and it didn’t seem to make any difference at all, even with every single one deactivated at the same time. So I went ahead and reactivated three: Redux, RPS Image gallery, and WP Edit. I’ll go ahead and try going back to the last release to see what happens, unless there is anything else I should check first.

Holy Cow! After fooling with this problem for an entire day yesterday, I started in this morning using a different theme that I’ve worked with for many years. So I changed themes, and dinked around with that for a couple of hours. Then, on a whim, I reactivated the Customizr theme… and the issue seems to be gone! It’s doing just fine right now with the javascript turned on.

Lesson learned: Sometimes it’s best to just scare the thing to death, making it think you’re going to leave it for another. All of a sudden it will love you again.
