Kind of a weird issues though, since I force ‘all’ as the default value when the widget get’s first added and can’t reproduce your situation.

That being said, I’m ship the fix out tonight, better safe then sorry ??

Have you tried saving the widget again? (you don’t have to change something, just saving it should to do the trick)

The widget and the result of the query that goes along with it are saved in an transient (sort of on object cache in WordPress), hence the having to save it again ??

Hey! Could you update to 1.8.2 and see if you’re still having this problem?

I missed something in 1.8.1 that caused an error in the widget query when all categories were selected, sorry about that!
I just pushed the update, you should see it in your dashboard soon!

Hey!

There definitely are some issues with the shortcode and the grid layout and I haven’t found a good solution that is generic enough to work well in all themes and with all image sizes.

Maybe I should ‘enforce’ a certain grid size (like 5 in your example). I’ll run this through some testing and if it all works out you can expect this in an update soon ??

A carousel is something I’m not going to be adding in the foreseeable future.

There is a shortcode [sponsors] you can use, that gives you the widget in any page or post.

You’ll have to crop the images yourself, as doing this in the plugin could never cover all possible use-cases.
