Thank you for the suggestion. The plus-ins don’t seem to have any effect.

Interestingly, the version of the front-page.php home page that keeps showing up when attempting to save the new home page is as of the date I created the page–not current. This is not my theme, so I am at a disadvantage and the developer is not available.

Hi and thank you. I created a new page in site and used WPBakery to design it. I need to remove front-page.php and use this new page, current URL /hometest

If I try to select this page as a new home page, in either Settings/Reading or Appearance/Customize/Homepage, it doesn’t work. It shows an OLD version of front-page.php
