thanks Steve your confirmation(s) enabled me to persuade the client to transfer hosts. Going with Siteground. I cant be arsed with a Managed Hosting that wont help

They say it works their end so it is a wordpress problem. I did try to argue the point but with absolutely no success, they kept saying it was working their end

The person I was doing this for decided to move hosts, drastic but it worked.

So we moved to Siteground, working no problem

But I really think the plugin developer should come up with a proper solution for this continually problem which has been going for years and years

Very disappointed not to get any support on this.

Finally got it working on the new host

Moved hosting company and setting up a new site in a temporary hosting area and I get the problem again. There is something wrong with this version of Jetpack
