In reply to: [Delightful Downloads] Opening in a new tabOh, Ashley, I’ve tried every which way to get this to work. The issue is that I briefly see “https://mydomain.com/?ddownload=2614” in my new tab in the browser (yay) but then it instantly redirects the page to “https://mydomain.com/wp-content/uploads/delightful-downloads/something.pdf” ??
This is only an issue when I set DD to open in the browser. When I download to the user’s hard disk, it nicely displays “https://mydomain.com/?ddownload=2614” in the browser while it gives you the download to your pc window.
If you like, I can private message you with admin access to my test site so you can have a look for yourself?
Regards,

In reply to: [Delightful Downloads] Opening in a new tabThanks, Ashley!
I have tested the code, and it works. However, the url path becomes https://mydomain.com/wp-content/uploads/delightful-downloads/something.pdf – which I find a bit clunky.
I was hoping it would stay as “https://mydomain.com/?ddownload=2614”.
Is that possible?

In reply to: [Delightful Downloads] Show Icons as PDF in listHi Ashley
Thanks for this wonderful plugin. I am trying to apply this same code to the button, so that you see a pdf icon either alongside or within the button. Is this possible?
I tried adding:
.ddownload-button a.ext-pdf { display: block; padding-left: 30px; background: transparent url("https://[mysiteURL...]/images/hia-pdf.png") no-repeat top left; background-size: 24px 24px; min-height: 24px; }
but it’s not working. Am I on the right track?
… ah, never mind … I found another way to do it, which is to link to a pdf image in my media file, but make the URL “https://mywebsite/?ddownload=2614”. This works for me.
Thanks again – you’ve done a superb job in creating and documenting this plugin!

In reply to: [CM Tooltip Glossary] pop up moves away when I move the mouseVery frustrating, because the pro version says you are not to purchase it in order to test its compatibility – you should test the free version first before purchasing the pro. I intended to purchase the pro, but I read and followed those instruction and installed and tested the free version first.
Now I am being told the functionality which I consider is essential (i.e. being able to mouse-over the popup text) is not supported in the free version.
I’m getting the feeling I’m being given the run around. The pro version sent me to the free version. The free version tells me I need the pro. And no one is giving me any reassurance. Sigh.

In reply to: [Testimonials Widget] Imbed YouTube videos in reviewstossing [embed]URL[/embed] around the links works – thank you. But it does not allow me to add “&rel=0” to stop the display of related videos at the end. Is this a bug? New feature required?
This is very helpful, thank you!!
I wonder why the author uses a mobile detect script, instead of simply detecting the browser width.
By the way, how often do you recommend updating this script? Would once a month be sensible?

In reply to: [Rich Reviews by Starfish] No Longer SupportedOn the strength of your above post saying
We have come back around to this plugin, trying to do major overhauls to the internal structure so that updates and features are easier to crank out. We’d appreciate it if you could take another look at it!
– I duplicated my website to a test location, and updated the plugin to the latest version. It broke my website WordPress version 3.9.1 – I got the dreaded white screen at both the front and back end.
It is very disappointing as the plugin had some great features.

In reply to: [Featured Video Plus] Creates featured image but not videoI am also using the Sahifa theme and have the same problem. It creates an image from the video and shows only the featured image on my posts. If I add the shortcode [featured-video-plus] into my post, then the post displays the featured image first, and then the video underneath – which looks like a duplication (a picture of the video first without a play button and then the video itself underneath).
Sorry, I cannot publish a public link to my site … it is still under development.
