Hi, thanks for your post. We’ve tested the plugin with WordPress 5.0.3 and it is compatible. We do not add updates to the plugin, only security patches.

Thanks for your review. I agree that it’s not a good thing that the plugin isn’t updated for over a year. I’ve made some progress on GitHub, hopefully I can make this into an update anytime soon.

Can you confirm that your IP isn’t listed as denied in your .htaccess file?

The IP address is stored at your own server. The plugin does not send any information to external servers.

The plugin stores the IP address of the user after max failed logins. You need to mention this in your privacy statement.

The reason why we didn’t add support for that is that you can easily spoof the X-Forwarded-For header, pretending to be someone else (with all the consequences).

You can only manually clear the list by removing the lines from the .htaccess file.

I don’t think this is caused by this plugin. Maybe you can ask the question at the forum of the plugin that you used to move the login-page.

Maybe those mails were still in the mail-queue of your server. Do you still get mails?

Yes, the plugin will stop all brute force attacks. But if your server can’t handle the high load, this plugin of course can’t help.

Only if you use Apache as HTTP server.
