First, yes they are all spam comments, but because comments are disabled the comment.php page returns a 404 error – so how is it possible that comments are still being ‘added’ ? Here is an example of a recent email notice:

No I don’t. We manually updated today. We restored most of the sites last night by replacing the missing themes – then this morning they were gone again! I am deleting nearly all plugins and running theme files though a validation check – but so far nothing. As well as the themes disappearing some of the content and menus have gone too. With over 60 sites its a big problem.

Did anyone ever find the problem? I am having the same issue – I have 60 blogs and the themes have somehow just disappeared twice now leaving me empty sites. Even the default WP themes have gone?

Anyone have any ideas on this. I see some new posts (after this one) with people having the same issues – is this a wordpress bug? Any help would be appreciated
