An update: It seems that if I was able to solve the problem by deactivating “Events Manager and WPML Compatibility”.

Now all events are showing no matter what language the user is viewing in.

I haven’t written a function before- so should I be creating an action that hooks to the point when the user submits an event? Is there such a hook? I wasn’t able to find documentation on EM’s hooks and filters.

Would you know how I can automate the duplication of events into the other languages upon submission? Do I have create some php functions?

okay one more question here: if I want to style normal full calendar such that it looks kind of like the wp fullcalendar (e.g. “month” title center aligned, “day” number top aligned, equal cell sizes across the table etc), where should I change the code? Should I dig into calendar-full.php, or is there some CSS file that controls the table?

Unfortunately the manual method of moving events to a new category would be impractical for my site as there will be many user submitted events, each of them with only 1 ticket (1 on 1 tutorials). Is this process automate-able?

And would you mind expanding a bit on what you meant by using the normal full calendar? Do you mean adding conditional css to add colors to the event listing?

Yes, the compatibility plug-in was also installed. Is that the right thing to do?

The jquery-updated didn’t work though, and yes I see the theme includes its own jquery library.

I guess I’ll just get another theme then.

Hi Marcus, the developer of the theme I was using suspect it is a jquery conflict, and asked me to check which version of jQuery the plug-in works best in. Would you know the answer to this question?
