Having the same problem with shipping fees not carrying through to paypal using paypal standard.. have tried updating to the latest version of wp e-commerce and still no shipping in paypal, we’re using table rate which has been fine for ages, have just started a campaign and we’re not taking any shipping charges.. Big thanks to @mihai for looking into and resolving my wp ecommerce issue –

The bug was that the shipping calculator was hidden in our check out page, the reason for this being hidden was we’re using a table rate for shipping that currently can’t be influenced by location. The shipping calculator appears to be more location orientated so we thought the shipping calculator was redundant and unnecessary for our customers

With the current upgrade the shipping calculator MUST be present if shipping is enabled. No matter what shipping method.

The css object that was used to hide the shipping calculator was .productcart

We made it visible, styled it according to our sites design and all is working ok on the current upgrade although the shipping calculator still seems a little redundant for table rated shipping without it being influenced by location.

A request was made so that not only can you use table rates for shipping but the shipping calculator could also add an amount depending on country, continent and then rest of the world which has been noted for a possible future upgrade, at the moment this isn’t possible as wp ecommerce currently exists – fingers crossed for that feature being implemented and once again many thanks for the help with the fix!

@amandahill1773 Looks like I can’t put up my link to the previous version of wp ecommerce on here so hopefully you made a back up of your site before you upgraded the plug in?
If so you should find the previous working version in wp-content/plugins/wp-e-commerce ion your back up

Not sure if there’s a better way but this is what I did to fix it

You can download my previous version of wp ecommerce [ link deleted ]
I don’t think I’ve modified it in anyway (if you find it is different you’ll need to get another version from somewhere). Downloaded and unzip the file

You’ll need to have ftp access to your site.
>Go to here via ftp app > root folder of your site/wp-content/plugins/
>Back up the current wp-e-commerce folder (ie download it to your computer)
>Once backed up delete the current wp-e-commerce folder from your site via FTP app
>Then upload my unzipped wp-e-commerce folder via FTP to > root folder of your site/wp-content/plugins/

There may be better ways but this is what I did to fix my site
Hopefully the issues will be fixed in future updates

I’ve rolled back to the previous version, my site is now working – in the short term.. not sure how to proceed in the long term now.. any thoughts welcome

tried switching to the twenty fourteen theme and still had the same problem, hoping one of the authors can find a fix soon

You mention that you made it work again by rolling back to a previous version, have you got a copy of that version you can share or send a link to?
I’m having similar issues, I’m currently using the most recent version but if it’s not fixed soon I’ll have to think of using alternatives

Just to add another bit of info to the pot.. if I’m logged in to my wordpress admin for my site and make an order wp ecommerce will calculate the shipping correctly, if I’m not logged in then – wp ecommerce is no longer able to calculate shipping at the check out page and when ‘purchase’ is clicked the check out page requests ‘Please select one of the available shipping options, then we can process your order’. There’s no shipping option to select and no shipping automatically calculated.
In wp-admin > settings > store > checkout > Users can checkout without a user account is ticked
Any help would be really appreciated, thanks!!

‘Enable Shipping settings’ is ticked and ‘Table Rate’ under ‘Internal Shipping Calculators’ is also ticked.
I’m not using anything else under shipping so nothing else is ticked ie there’s no ‘External Shipping Calculators’, weight rate or flat rate ticked.
This set up has been ok for the last 18 months or so.

Having the same issue since the recent update, had a few visitors reporting the bug using various browsers
wp ecommerce is no longer able to calculate shipping once a user goes to the check out page,
When ‘purchase’ is clicked the check out page requests ‘Please select one of the available shipping options, then we can process your order’. There’s no shipping option to select and no shipping automatically calculated any more

I found it (at least everything is now working on all expected browsers) in wp-supersized/includes/WPSupersized.php

I changed line 717 as suggested and all’s good.

Let me know if you think there’s anything different needed otherwise many thanks for your post..!
