I am experiencing this same issue with WPMU 2.8.4a and like @fishyninja, I too find this bug disappears as soon as a non-numeric character is manually inserted into the slug.

I’m seeing the same thing in our WP MU 2.7.1 installation. In addition the plugin isn’t displaying any presentations, but rather a bunch of code. See below:
