Did you try removing and reinstalling the plugin? Removal will remove all files but usually never removes DB tables, so when you reinstall, the appointments should be there.

Yes, at least the option to cancel would suffice. Then they could just reschedule.

I am having a schedule overlapping problem. Refer to the link, see the 6th, and try to book a “1 acre lawn”, which is a 5-hour job, yet there is only 1 free hour of time left.
