In reply to: [Stellar Places] no content in map markersFWIW, I also tried deleting the old plugin files, then just reinstalling the latest plugin and got a “plugin could not be activated. Fatal error” and the same error message I put in above.
Hosting is on WP Engine if it helps…

In reply to: [Stellar Places] no content in map markersThe update seemed to break the site. I got a 500 error after updating.

Hey Bruce – this is great advice – my personal advice would be to avoid using GoDaddy’s email – but to those who still use it, this is a great workaround. Nice work!

In reply to: [Custom Post Type UI] Custom Post Type UI Author informationHey @spiritzilla – not sure if you got this sorted out yet, but you might need to create a new template in order to get rid of the about the author info.
This would be similar to creating a new view – check out this page for more info :

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Where to look for documentationExactly – the docs are nice and all for getting started – and even for developers. But oftentimes, the best place to get an answer for these issues is through the woothemes support forums. Did you try that route yet?

In reply to: Broken Images – Theme issuesHi Marianne – both WPYogi and paul are right – it’s both an issue with the theme and permissions related.
Definitely follow WPYogi’s suggestion and submit a help ticket through the themes forum.
For troubleshooting purposes (on the theme), you may want to do a fresh clean install (perhaps something like test.yourdomain.com).
Make sure to use the most recent version of WordPress and the most recent version of this theme.
If the new install checks out, then we’ll know for sure that the theme you’ve got is clean and clear, and that it’s only your install.
Hope that helps!

In reply to: [Twenty Eleven] Adding Images in SidebarHello – there’s a bunch of ways to do this – for the 2011 theme, you’ll need to access your widgets area and place the image in a sidebar widget.
I’d suggest installing the plugin Jetpack. It will give you lots of nice functionality, including an image widget which will make managing things pretty easy.
Here’s a link to Jetpack : https://jetpack.me/support/extra-sidebar-widgets/

In reply to: Broken Images – Theme issuesHi Marianne –
This looks like it’s related to a timthumb issue. Timthumb is a script that helps resize images. Make sure you’ve updated your timthumb.php file to the latest version.

In reply to: Setup Problem – Cannot Install ThemesHey Thomas – for reference, the /uploads folder doesn’t get created until you upload something via wp-admin (when you’re logged into your WordPress site). That said, you won’t be able to upload anything if your permissions are off – so it’s a bit of a catch 22.
When you get a chance, let us know some more of your systems info and what you did to solve things – this could help someone else down the line.
Glad you got it working!
