Does anybody have any other options for the initial question I have, I would really like to get some form of message board for my Dashboard.

Hi thank you for your reply. I did try installing those but they wouldnt work on my WP. I’m using WP 2.7 beta 3, and when I installed ftp’d the shoutbox, it wouldnt show up in my Plugin area, and when I ftp’d the widgetized dashboard, nothing showed in the dashboard itself or the widget section.

Do you know if they work with the version of WP that I have?

Can anybody help with this please, I really need something as a noticeboard for my members, thank you.

Hi thank you for your reply. I found out what the problem was, I’m using pagemash so that I could try and put the pages in the order I wanted them to be in. I tried adding the script pagemash gives into a PHPCode widget, which worked ok in the sense that i could move pages around, to where I wanted them to be. It worked perfectly in Firefox, but in IE it didnt work.

I wondered if it did need to have some script added so that it fitted into a widget. I am not good enough to write the script for it to fit, would anybody be able to show me how the script should look to have kept it?

Sorry to bump this up, but I am still having problems with trying to get the flash working on the rss feeds. Is it possible to show the flash, or will it only show the script?

Hi, I was wondering, I just discovered that its the same problem on the RSS feeds page, is there any way I can fix that page as well? I cant seem to find the RSS html page.

just a thought, it could a reason why some people here are getting unresolved error 404 messages on hosted servers.

Yay, fixed it. That was hard work but got there in there end. ??

And if WP is causing “problems” for your host… get a decent host urgently!

Unfortunately, its not as easy as that. I also run a MODX CMS, and from what I can gather, its the same on that, its a recognised problem which nobody has been able to find a work around, on any host.
