After deleting everything, reinstalling, and choosing “Upgrade”, it works ??

I also am receiving fatal errors after trying to upgrade to 2.1 (from 2.0). Deleted/reinstalled twice. Still doesn’t work. Muy malo.

I’m having a similar problem.

Using the Sage plugin in Firefox, I find the following feeds on my site:

All of these point to my comments, save the one with the category “11”, which points to only my podcast posts, as it should be.

I guess the script in my style template is calling the wrong feed URLs to include on the index page? This seems to have broken in the 2.0-2.0.1 upgrade.

Incidentally, when i tried switching to the default template, it was still not working correctly.

For the record, it is NOT iPodCatter that was the problem, but something broken with auto-enclosures in 2.0

This plugin by Kyle Gilman solves it, and gives more flexibility as well.

That’s interesting. Still means it’s broken, but perhaps we’re getting closer to a cause.

This must not be widespread enough yet to garner much attention. It sure sucks though. I may downgrade this weekend until I hear it’s fixed.

I have been doing exactly as you suggest.
Wordpress 1.5.2 worked automatically for me as well, 2.0 does not.

The only problem with manually entering the enclosure tag is that it does not fill the “length” and “type” parameters, so subscribers can’t know how big the file is, or if it’s audio or video
While I like the new look and feel, I resisted upgrading because I was wondering about “surprises”.
The automatic enclosures in the RSS feed (and the automatic RSS feeds themselves) are the main reasons I was interested in WordPress in the first place.

Important: Use a complete, absolute URI when linking to the audio file. Otherwise WordPress will not make an enclosure for it.

It worked in 1.5.2
It does not in 2.0, for me and others.

in 1.5.2, putting a link w/an absolute path put an automatic enclosure tag in the feed, including length and type.

Now, no tag, nada. I can manually enter it, but not with the length and type, which was so handy in 1.5.2

I also am not seeing enclosures being automatically created in 2.0 either. I can manually enter them, but w/o the length and type tags. This is a bummer.

Does WP-iPodCatter 1.5 support WordPress 2.0? My RSS feed doesn’t seem to be getting the enclosure automatically….I must re-read the old support files….

Mine is growing as well. Thanks wweekly for the ‘delete’ trick, it worked a charm. I had just cleaned empty “duration tags” manually yesterday, and the “delete trick” just cleared 139 lines. I am using an unmodified version 1.0 downloaded awhile ago.
