  • I would try it without Wordfence – but I really don’t like the security risk. I know that with Wordfence, Jetpack was completely accurate – so I am not sure why it would be different with WP Statistics, unless Jetpack, or Google as you suggested – is throttling things somehow.

Tech is an ugly battlefield and the big guys play favorites – which is disgusting in my opinion.

Ok I will add my issues to this thread… And no it is not because of Facebook or bot traffic..

I used Jetpack, but it is bloated and such a resource hog it was causing 503’s every hour.. Deleted it, they went away.. So anyway.

Jetpack showed the same as Google Analytics AND Cloudflare analytics – roughly 2k visits a day, several hundred on different pages, and varying amounts of new visitors, 700 or less, returns etc.

WP Statistics? Shows 60… Maybe 90 if I am lucky. Elsewhere on this forum it says disable caching – ok I did that… Guess what? No change.

There is a problem in the plugin itself, otherwise Google Analytics, (Both UA and G-tag properties) would not be showing higher traffic from around the world versus WP-Statistics.

I wanted this plugin as a lightweight alternative to the accurate Jetpack plugin – but it does not work.
