Hi @cadrago21
It seems that you are using the paid version of Envira Gallery. If you have an active license subscription with us, could you please submit a support ticket through the Envira Gallery account dashboard when you have a chance??
From there, our support team will be able to take a closer look at your request.?
Thanks.
Hi @rschmunk
I am glad to help. When you click on the “meta” button below each image in Manage Galleries, what date is displayed? See my screenshots here and here
I ran this test with images from my iPhone 14 Pro Max, an old Lumia Phone and my Olympus camera, which all show proper dates.
I think there could be something wrong with the device used to take the pictures or with how they are handled before uploading that might change the metadata in the files.
Are these images taken in different devices? Are all uploaded from the same device?
I will be waiting for your reply.
Thanks!
Hi @sublimese
Thanks for your explanation, so the issue could be explained like this: Thumbnails for portrait images are rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise, correct?
Could you try checking if the images have a rotation value in their metadata? I use https://www.thexifer.net/ once you upload, click the exif.me button and under “exif camera” tab, scroll to the bottom and check “Orientation”, let me know what the value is.
You can, try stripping the rotation info from one of the images and upload it again and see how it goes too.
I will be waiting for your reply.
Thanks!

Hi @rickwiel
I am glad to help. I can pass this info to the plugin developers, but I have a couple questions first.
What do you mean by “on a page (The Event Calendar)” is it related to the plugin called “The Events Calendar”? You also mentioned “my hosting Litespeed Server and cache”, could you please elaborate a bit more on this and also on the issue and describe the scenario and the visible effect?
If you can send links and or screenshots and any other info that would help. The more details we have, the better, just to reduce the back and forth and present the developers with all they will need to investigate this.
I will be waiting for your reply.
Thanks again.
Hi @sublimese
You can create portrait thumbnails if you go to NextGEN Gallery > Gallery Settings and choose your gallery type, then set “Override thumbnail settings” to yes, set values for “Thumbnail dimensions”, and set “Thumbnail crop” to “no”. See Here
This way the portrait images won’t be cropped to a landscape image.
This procedure I mention will set this option for all future galleries you use the gallery display on and also for existing ones that have the default settings used.
If you want to change this for specific galleries, you can go to the page or post where the gallery is inserted, edit the gallery and then click “customize display settings” at the top. Change the same settings and then insert your gallery and update your page or post.
Let me know how it went.
Thanks
Hi @sublimese
I am glad to help.
That is your server execution time limit. You need to ask your hosting company to increase it, we normally recommend to set it to at least 300. The error points to the function that exhausted the time limit, but it is not the one that sets it.
You can see your time limits, filesize limits, post limits, etc from your site health section. Go to Tools > Site Health > Info Tab (at the top), then click Copy Site Info to Clipboard. Paste the info in a notepad (CTRL+V or CMD +V) See here
You can look in the wp-server section for the following:time_limit: (at least 300)
memory_limit: (at least 300)
max_input_time: (at least 300)
upload_max_filesize: (biggest singe file you will upload)
php_post_max_size: (biggest total payload to process)I hope this helps. Let me know how it went.
Thanks
